Hi there,

We're working to adopt private endpoints with Synapse Analytics. We currently use parameters in our linked services and this doesn't support the selection of a Managed Private Endpoint:

It doesn't look like you can hardcode the private endpoint in JSON for the linked service or otherwise parameterize the managed private endpoint. Is it at all possible to used parameterized linked services with managed private endpoints?

Thanks for your help,
Spencer

    Hello @spencer ,

Your understanding is correct - Parameterized linked services in Synapse do not support selection of a Managed Private Endpoint (via the Synapse Studio GUI or code).

In order to select Managed private endpoint - it requires the server name.

Note: If you pass server name as parameterized linked service - server name then the managed private endpoint shows as blank.
