    Hi @sachin lokhande,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

If your Windows Home device is showing the BitLocker/Device Encryption recovery screen and you can’t find (or think it wasn’t “uploaded”) the recovery key, the key can only be retrieved from the location where it was backed up when encryption was enabled.

Please note that, as moderators I can’t retrieve, provide, or recreate a lost BitLocker recovery key on your behalf.

In order to find the recovery key, kindly follow the suggestions below:

    1. Check the Microsoft account that was used to set up the PC
    • From another device (phone/another PC), go to https://aka.ms/myrecoverykey (this redirects to the recovery keys page) and sign in.
    • On the recovery screen, note the first 8 digits of the “Key ID” and match it to the same Key ID shown online, then use the corresponding 48‑digit recovery key to unlock the drive.
    1. If the device ever used a Work/School account
    • The recovery key may be stored with that organization. Microsoft’s guidance is to check (Find your BitLocker recovery key) (or contact the organization’s IT support if you can’t access it).
    1. Check other backup locations (if you saved it there)
    • Depending on what was chosen during setup, the key might be on a printout or on a USB flash drive.

Important note If you cannot locate the recovery key in any of the places above, Windows recovery/reset may be the remaining option, and it can remove files.

I hope it clears your concerns, please feel free to share if you have any further concerns.
