We would like to understand whether it is possible to configure a custom organization logo in Microsoft Teams so that it appears as the default logo within the Teams application interface for all users in our tenant who are assigned premium licenses.

Specifically, we would like clarification on the following:

1. Whether the default Teams application logo (top section or main interface area) can be replaced or customized with our organization’s branding.
2. If this is supported, what are the required licensing prerequisites?
3. What are the recommended configuration steps from the admin side?
4. Are there any limitations or restrictions regarding tenant-wide branding in Teams?

Our goal is to ensure consistent organizational branding across the Microsoft 365 environment, including the Teams desktop and web applications.

While the Teams application logo itself cannot be changed, Microsoft 365 does provide supported branding options for web experiences, particularly through SharePoint and Microsoft 365 themes. You can configure organization logos that appear across Microsoft 365 web applications by following the steps below: Logos: Specify your theme logos

On the Logos page, you can upload and manage your organization’s branding assets:

• Default logo
  • Provide an HTTPS URL pointing to your logo image (must allow anonymous access and not require authentication)
  • For the default theme, you may alternatively upload an image file smaller than 10 KB
  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, SVG
  • SVG images are resized to 24 px vertically
  • JPG, PNG, and GIF images are scaled to fit 200 × 48 px
  • The logo’s aspect ratio is always preserved
• Alternate logo
  • Used primarily for dark themes
  • Same requirements and formats as the default logo
  • Recommended to optimize visibility in dark mode
• On‑click link
  • You may specify a URL that users are directed to when they select the logo (for example, your corporate website or internal portal)
  • If no URL is configured, the logo will default to linking to the Microsoft 365 home page

After configuring the logos, select Save to apply your changes.

If the Save button is greyed out, please go to General tab and fill in the required fields, then it will be available for you to Save.
