Dear Sir/Madam,

My Outlook app is crashing on my Apple Mac. This has happened before and was resolved through updating the OS. I am currently running Tahoe 26.3, which is the current version. The Outlook app began to become defective last Friday 20th February, approximately 2 days after the last Outlook app update. Today (24th Feb) I uninstalled the Outlook app and reinstalled and now only the Icon appears on the task bar, before crashing.

Kind regards,

Charles.

Hey. If you are on the current macOS version, please confirm, does Outlook open in Safe Mode if you hold the Shift key while launching the app?

Because Outlook for Mac states that crash issues after an update are usually resolved by installing the latest Outlook build from the Mac App Store and ensuring macOS is fully updated, as stability fixes are delivered through app updates. If Outlook still crashes even on the latest version and after a restart, the supported next step is to contact Microsoft Support so they can review the crash logs linked to your Outlook version and macOS build.

It sounds like you're experiencing a crash issue with the Outlook app on your Mac. Since you've already tried reinstalling the app without success, here are a couple of suggestions that may help resolve the problem:

    1. Check for Updates: Ensure that both your macOS and Outlook app are up to date. Sometimes, compatibility issues can arise with newer versions of software.
    2. Delete Preferences: You can try deleting the Outlook preferences to reset the app settings. To do this, go to ~/Library/Containers/ and delete the folder that starts with com.microsoft.Outlook. After that, restart Outlook.
    3. Check for Conflicting Software: Sometimes, other applications or extensions can interfere with Outlook. Make sure there are no third-party applications that might be causing the crash.
    4. Contact Support: If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. They may have more specific solutions based on the latest updates and known issues.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please provide any error messages or additional details that may help in diagnosing the problem further.
