Question

I received this very old update some time ago along with the Windows updates.

I don't use an HP PC!

I can neither download nor install this update! It's just annoying because it keeps showing up. Contacting HP didn't help, as this update isn't from HP.

Please tell me how I can delete this update.

This is a driver update. Windows is probably trying to install an older driver version than the one currently installed. Perhaps a printer driver that is no longer in use.

The best option is to hide this update using Microsoft's "Show or Hide updates" tool. Download from the link below.

Run the tool and follow the on-screen instructions to hide the update.

You might need to restart your computer or wait a few minutes for the update to be removed from the Windows Update list. Alternatively, you can check for new updates by clicking "Check for updates" a few times. If you don't have the "Check for updates" button, press "Retry".

I have another question: I regularly download all Windows updates.

Nevertheless, in the update history under "Feature Updates," I see Win 11 24H2.

However, when I enter the command "Winver," I see version 25H2 (Build 26200.7922). Could this different display affect the upcoming fall update to 26H2?

If so, what do I need to do?
