An integrated threat protection solution designed to detect, investigate, and respond to cyber threats across Microsoft 365 services.
Hi,
Thank you for sharing your question.
I understand how frustrating it can be when you suddenly lose access to Dynamics 365, especially when you're relying on a VPN for secure connectivity.
This behavior typically occurs when your new internet provider or VPN assigns you a different public IP address, which may now fall outside the trusted or allowed locations configured in Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) Conditional Access policies. Dynamics 365 itself does not maintain its own IP block list, but Entra Conditional Access rules, location-based access restrictions, or security controls such as firewalls or WAF rules can block sign‑ins from unrecognized IP ranges.
To resolve this, review your organization’s Conditional Access policies in Microsoft Entra ID and verify whether your new IP address or VPN-assigned address is being blocked. If location-based rules are enabled, you may need an administrator to update the “Named locations” configuration or adjust access rules to include your current IP range. Microsoft Learn confirms that blocking/allowing access by IP is governed by Conditional Access and is enforced during authentication, which means updating these policies should immediately restore access.
Are you aware of any Conditional Access or IP-based security policies in your environment, or do you have an administrator who can review these settings?
Feel free to follow up with any details you find, and I’ll be happy to guide you through the next steps.
I hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Noel
