Hello, I'm Quinn and here to help!

The previous answer is already good. Just to add, you may not be receiving codes in the Microsoft Authenticator app because an old device is still listed in your account’s security settings. To check this:

    1. On a desktop, go to https://account.microsoft.com/security
    2. Click Manage how I sign in, under Ways to prove who you are, review your registered devices and remove any old or unused devices.
    3. Make sure your current device is added.
    4. Open the Authenticator app on your phone, sign out, then sign back in. This often resolves the issue if codes were being sent to a previous device.

Before signing out of the Authenticator app, make sure you have another way to sign in to your account, such as a backup verification method or recovery options, to avoid being locked out.

If you are not receiving a verification code in the Microsoft Authenticator app, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Check Your Device: Ensure that the Microsoft Authenticator app is installed and updated to the latest version on your mobile device.
    2. Sync Time: Make sure that the time on your mobile device is correctly synchronized. If the time is off, it can cause issues with the codes generated by the app. You may need to disable the automatic time setting and set it manually to ensure accuracy.
    3. Multiple Verification Methods: If you have configured multiple verification methods, try signing in again and select a different method on the sign-in page.
    4. Third-Party Apps: Sometimes, third-party security apps can block notifications. If you are using such an app, try disabling it temporarily and see if that resolves the issue.
    5. Reinstall the App: If the problem persists, you might consider uninstalling and then reinstalling the Microsoft Authenticator app.
    6. Contact Support: If none of these steps work, you may need to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.

These steps should help you troubleshoot the issue with not receiving the verification code in the Microsoft Authenticator app.
