My outlook email address is considered high risk for fraud by reputation managers like IPQS. It's been a problem for a long time but I can't find a way to fix it.

I'm paying for a subscription but if I can't figure out how to clean up that email address, I will have to cancel it. Please help!!!

Your Outlook email may be marked as spam and considered high risk for fraud for several reasons. Here are some factors that could contribute to this issue:

    1. IP Address Reputation: If the IP address associated with your email account appears on spam blocklists, it can negatively affect your reputation. Microsoft 365 monitors its IP addresses and can react if any are flagged as spam.
    2. High Volume of Spam: If your account has been compromised and is sending out a high volume of spam emails, it may be temporarily blocked from sending emails. Microsoft has thresholds in place to prevent accounts from sending too much spam.
    3. Content Filtering: The content of your emails may trigger spam filters if it matches known spam characteristics. This includes the use of specific keywords or links that are commonly associated with spam.
    4. User Behavior: If your account has been reported for sending spam or if it has a history of sending emails that are marked as spam, this can affect your reputation.

To address the issue, consider the following steps:

    • Run a Message Trace: Use the message trace tool to investigate why your emails are being marked as spam. This can provide insights into specific issues with your messages.
    • Check IP Reputation: You can check the reputation of your sending IP address using various online tools to see if it is listed on any blocklists.
    • Review Email Content: Ensure that your emails do not contain elements that could be flagged as spam, such as suspicious links or misleading subject lines.
    • Contact Support: If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft support for assistance in resolving the issue.

By taking these steps, you may be able to improve your email reputation and reduce the likelihood of being marked as spam in the future.
