Hello, may I please know if you have already tried updating the Camera driver from the support website of your device?

Hi! Let me help you with this issue.

Have you tried a hard reset?

    Shut down the laptop completely

Click Start → Power → Shut down

Make sure it’s fully off (no lights, no fan)

    Unplug everything

    Remove the charger

Disconnect USB devices, mouse, keyboard, headset, HDMI, etc.

    Drain residual power

Press and hold the Power button for 20–30 seconds

    Don’t release it early

    Reconnect power

Plug only the charger back in (nothing else)

    Turn the laptop on

    Press the Power button normally

To resolve the "no camera is attached" issue where the camera turns on for a moment and then turns off, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Check Camera Connection: Ensure that the camera is properly connected to your device. If it’s an external camera, try unplugging it and plugging it back in.
    2. Update Camera Drivers: Go to the support page for your laptop or camera manufacturer and download the latest drivers for your webcam. Reinstalling the drivers may resolve the issue.
    3. Check Privacy Settings: Make sure that camera access is enabled in your privacy settings. Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera and ensure that apps are allowed to use the camera.
    4. Function Keys: Check if there’s a function key (F1 - F12) on your keyboard with a camera icon. Press that key or use Fn + that key to unlock the webcam.
    5. Camera App Settings: If you are using the Camera app, check if there are any settings that might be affecting the camera functionality.
    6. Registry Key Adjustment: If the issue persists, you might consider modifying the registry key to disable Frame Server Mode, which can help with camera issues. The registry key is:
      • Name: EnableFrameServerMode
      • Type: DWORD
      • Value: 0 After making changes, a system reboot is required for the changes to take effect.
    7. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows is up to date, as updates often include fixes for hardware issues.

If none of these steps work, it may be worth contacting the manufacturer for further assistance or checking for any known issues with your specific camera model.
