I purchased Windows 10 Pro because through the site it recommended to upgrade for further support. After this was ungraded it did not solve the problem and required me to purchase another computer to get Windows 11.

I am requesting that you refund this since that computer is no longer in use to the original card used.

    Hi @Dave Gerwig,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Regarding your request for a refund for the Windows 10 Pro upgrade, I understand that the software did not resolve the difficulties you were experiencing and that you are now transitioning to a new device.

Please be aware that as a moderator in this public forum, I do not have access to your personal billing information or the authority to process financial transactions. For your security, all matters related to payments and account details must be handled through private, official channels rather than an open forum. Additionally, moderators cannot submit refund requests or issue credits on behalf of users.

To move forward with your request, please contact Microsoft billing support directly using one of the following official options:

    • Microsoft Account Dashboard: Sign in to your Microsoft account at account.microsoft.com/billing and go to Payment & billing > Order history. Locate the Windows 10 Pro purchase and select Request a return or Get help with this order if the option is available.
    • Get Help app or Microsoft Support website: Open the Get Help app on your Windows device or visit the Microsoft Support site. Enter a billing‑related keyword (such as refund), then follow the guided steps. If additional assistance is required, you may be offered options to contact a support agent via chat or phone, depending on availability.

The billing team will be able to verify your account and help you with the refund process to your original payment method.

To request a refund for Windows 10 Pro, you should contact Microsoft Customer Service directly. Since you mentioned that the upgrade did not resolve your issue and you had to purchase another computer for Windows 11, it's important to explain your situation clearly when you reach out for support. You can follow these steps to contact Microsoft Support:

    1. Visit the Microsoft Support website.
    2. Type "Contact" in the search box.
    3. Click on "Get Help" and select "Contact Support."
    4. Choose the relevant product category, which in your case would be Microsoft 365 & Office.
    5. Select "Manage my subscription" and follow the prompts to chat with a support agent or request a call back.

Make sure to have your purchase details ready to expedite the process.
