I’m having a problem with Power Query in one specific Excel workbook

When I try to create a Blank Query using:

Data → Get Data → From Other Sources → Blank Query,

Power Query immediately shows the message:

“Please specify how to connect.”

This only happens in this workbook.

In a brand‑new workbook, Blank Query works normally.

Additional details:

• The Advanced Editor sometimes removes the last line of code

• Power Query does not detect my Excel table named T1TradeHist

• The same M‑code works correctly in a clean workbook

• I’ve already tried repairing Office and recreating the query

It seems like something inside this workbook is preventing Power Query from creating a normal Blank Query.

Does anyone know how to reset Power Query inside a workbook or repair whatever is causing this behavior? I have tried reset, restore and all the Copilot steps inside the sheet with no luck.
