Turn off “backup to OneDrive”
- Click the OneDrive cloud icon > Settings > Sync and backup > Manage backup
- Turn off Desktop / Documents / Pictures > Stop backup
- Then unlink OneDrive from the PC.
Remove the OneDrive mobile app (workaround option if you do not want to use OneDrive)
- Android: uninstall or disable the app in Settings > Apps > OneDrive
- iPhone: press-hold OneDrive > remove app
Note: I understand you would like to remove OneDrive entirely from your Microsoft account; however, there is currently no single switch to do so while still keeping the same Microsoft account for email, Xbox, and Microsoft Store sign-in.
