Resetting the computer should fix it, but this is a last resort.
Did you restart the computer after following any advice? It is a good measure to ensure the fix did not work.

I have just bought a new laptop, installed Minecraft (launcher plus java plus bedrock). However when I try and start bedrock from the launcher I get several pop ups:
If I cancel all these bedrock does open, however it then says "Error: Your game is missing a required component. To resolve this, choose Install to initiate installation and restart the game". It shows me an "Install" button in the Minecraft wrapper that then...doesn't do anything when I click it.
This is a really poor and frustrating experience for something that should be super easy. Can anyone help??
