There is nothing modern about the snipping tool change for Windows 11. It is a waste of time and the alternative is also junk. The new snipping tool is ridiculous and does not even work. I tried it and it does not work. Please remove it entirely from Windows 11 it is useless, worthless, a waste of time. Read what users are writing about this change. Modernizing should imply more useful for today's workload, not a complete waste of time and space. Git rid of it and replace with a copy and paste alternative. We already have recording tools; we need a simple quick copy and paste alternative for large data fields.

    Hi C,

Snipping Tool, in fact, is the best tool in Windows 11 for Screen snipping.

    It works perfectly fine.

May I know what exactly happens when you say it does not work?

    • In the Windows search,
    • Type cmd, right-click it, and choose Run as Administrator.

    Execute this command:

    winget uninstall 9mz95kl8mr0l

    Press Y when prompted.

    Restart the PC.

Again in an elevated Window, enter:

    winget install 9mz95kl8mr0l

I assure you I would ensure the Snipping tool works flawlessly if you follow the troubleshooting as advised.

I’m eager to hear back and work together to find a solution.
