To be 100% clear at this point, this is not the ability to pin the download button to the toolbar - this is the Pin that should be there on the drop down for Downloads to pin this to the right-hand side of Edge (highlighted on this screenshot from another user/PC):
On all my PCs, this is showing as follows:
which means that you can't pin it to the right-hand side of Edge (as you can with Favourites and History). From memory, this was its normal behaviour in the very first versions of it under Chromium, and it seems to have reverted on some devices/accounts for no apparent reason.
I have reported through Feedback Hub AND Edge feedback, but it is still stuck in this mode - I have tried Resetting Edge, deleted the cloud data, repairing Edge and all the latest updates --- and it still behaving this way.
How do we get support from Microsoft to fix this as they appear to be ignoring the issue for those of use still having this issue.

I haven’t really noticed this issue in Beta since I only open it occasionally to check things. I just saw that after updating to the latest Beta version, the pin button is no longer missing.

I have Edge Beta version 146.0.3856.20 and it looks like the issue has been resolved there, so the fix is likely on the way to the stable release. This is how it looks like in Beta
In the meantime, you can click the three dots in the Downloads flyout and choose “Show in toolbar” to pin it to the toolbar.
Thanks for this. Had you seen this issue on the beta at any time? as I have some PCs where the pin is there correctly.

My personal observation has been Edge for Business is missing the push pin, while "regular" Edge has it. Updated Edge for Business today to Version 145.0.3800.82 (Official build) (64-bit) and its still missing push pin, so seems "by design" by some progammer who does not use Edge ;)
From what I have tested, it doesn't seem to be version or edition specific - some of my machines/accounts are fine while others are not - and some where different accounts on the same machine behave differently. And sometime, after an update, the pin will be there immediately after the update but will disappear the next time Edge is opened.
Having tested all sorts of scenarios (including comparing registry entries as far as I can) I don't think it is as simple as registry or the Edge cloud settings, as I have created the user on Windows 11 on a VM, started Edge and the problem happens after Edge has sync'd. I have also tried deleting the Edge cloud storage, but it came back even then. Having said that, I'm not sure exactly how resetting the Edge cloud storage works if you have Edge on Android in the mix.
Confused as to why the code path and/or resources that has this pinless-dialog actually still exist in Edge - there are no settings or policies that can take the option to "pin to the right" away from a user, so why this isn't simply hard-baked into the code by now really doesn't make sense to me.
Anyway, quite confused and really quite annoyed by this all.
