Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

To help narrow down the issue:

    1. Which app are you using? Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or something else? Do you see “Read-only” at the top of the document?
    2. About the “Picture Format” and “Text Wrap” popping up: Are you clicking on an image when this happens? Or does it appear even when you are typing text?
    3. Also, which Office version you're using?

In the meantime, please try this:

    • Close the file. Reopen it.
    • Right-click the file > Properties. Make sure “Read-only” is unchecked.
    • Click “Enable Editing” if you see it at the top.
    • Restart your PC.

If the issue persists, please provide more details by answering my questions.

    Regards,

    John J.D.

If you are unable to edit documents in Word and are experiencing issues with picture formatting and text wrapping, it may be due to several reasons. Here are some potential solutions:

    1. Check the Wrapping Style: If you are using a wrapping style other than "In line with text," it may cause issues with visibility and editing. To change the wrapping style:
      • Click the picture or object.
      • On the Format tab, click Text Wrapping in the Arrange group.
      • Select In line with text.
    2. View Settings: Ensure you are not in Draft or Outline view, as these views may not display pictures or objects correctly. Switch to one of the following views:
      • Print Layout
      • Full Screen Reading
      • Web Layout
      • Print Preview
    3. Display Options: Make sure that the option to show drawings and text boxes is enabled:
      • Click File, then Options.
      • Click Advanced.
      • Under Show document content, ensure that Show drawings and text boxes on screen is checked.
    4. Picture Placeholders: If the Picture Placeholders option is turned on, it may prevent pictures from displaying correctly. To turn it off:
      • Click File, then Options.
      • Click Advanced.
      • Under Show document content, clear the Show Picture Placeholders check box.
    5. Hardware Acceleration: If you are experiencing issues with the video driver, reducing hardware acceleration may help. You can do this by adjusting the settings in your display properties.

If these solutions do not resolve the issue, consider checking for updates to your video drivers or reinstalling the application.
