Please kindly try the following steps:
- Fully sign out of all Google accounts in your browser
- Log out of your Google account
- Close all browser windows
- Reopen the browser and sign in only to the Gmail account you want to add
- Try adding the account to New Outlook again
- Clear cached cookies for Google & Microsoft
Clear cookies for:
-
google.com -
accounts.google.com -
microsoft.com -
outlook.com
Then:
- Restart your browser
- Try adding the account again
- Or try adding your Gmail account from a private/incognito window
- Add Gmail using "Manage Accounts" > "Email accounts"
Instead of using the pop‑up window:
- Open New Outlook
- Go to Settings
- Accounts > Email accounts
- Select Add account > Google
- Complete the Google login
- Check that IMAP is enabled in Gmail
Go to Gmail (web) via https://mail.google.com/mail
- Go to Settings > See all settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP
- Ensure IMAP is enabled
