Get rid of what appears to be push notices

I have some kind of push problem, that always puts three boxes on my screen, making it almost impossible to do any work. They all have Mozilla Firefox at the top, and "Dismiss" at the bottom, which does nothing. There are different messages in them -- sometimes about a Trojan Horse, sometimes "Click here to secure your data", or "McAfee licence has expired" (I haven't had it on a computer for 15 years or more). The all end with via ........kexornero.coin although the part represented by the ...... can be different.

I've tried the suggested methods of removing permissions for push notifications, but can't get rid of them. The attachment Virus 2026.pdf shows three examples, if it worked.

    Hi,

I understand these are adware programs, specifically websites that have permission to place notifications to try and trick you into downloading malware.

In this case, you'll need to download Adwcleaner and Malwarebytes (they're free) and run scans with them.

You'll have to access Mozilla Firefox > click on the three dots > look for permissions > notifications and remove all of them, including location.

Open the command prompt (admin) and run the commands: sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, wait for the process to finish and restart the computer.

Then perform a clean boot and uninstall applications that you don't use if you want.
