Integrated Camera Issue

Hi,

I went to use my camera on my Samsung 13" laptop and it's not working. I have done research stating to go into the device manager and click the camera option that is nowhere to be found, the option is not under "Imaging devices" either. I checked with my bluetooth devices under camera and it's stating there is no integrated camera found.

I am at a loss and need help, the sooner the better as I'm on a time constraint to get job application tasks completed.

Thank you.

    Hi,

If possible, do you have any third-party antivirus software? If so, which one?

If it's a laptop, what is the laptop model?
Access msinfo32.exe in the search bar, take a screenshot, and post it here.

Access the device manager, take a screenshot, and post it here.

Check the keyboard between the F1 and F12 keys to see if there's one with a camera icon. Press it to see if it unlocks. If that doesn't work, try Fn+F and the key with the camera icon.

Also check if it's a laptop; there should be a privacy palette located on top of the camera.

    Thanks

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with your integrated camera not being recognized by your Samsung laptop. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check Function Keys: Look at the function keys (F1 - F12) on your keyboard. If one of them has a camera icon, press that key or use the Fn key along with that function key to unlock the webcam.
    2. Privacy Slider: Inspect the camera lens above your screen to see if there is a small privacy slider that needs to be opened to access the webcam.
    3. Device Manager: Since you mentioned that the camera is not listed under Imaging Devices, ensure that you have the latest drivers installed. You can go to the support page for your laptop on the manufacturer's website and download the latest version of the webcam drivers.
    4. Camera Settings Page: In Windows 11, you can access the camera settings page by searching for "Settings" in Windows, then navigating to Bluetooth & devices > Cameras. This page will show you the connected cameras and allow you to manage them.
    5. Troubleshoot: If the camera is listed but not functioning, select it from the camera settings page and use the Troubleshoot option to get help with the issue.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, it may be a hardware problem, and you might need to consult with a technician or the manufacturer's support team.
