I'm trying to take the MO-210: Microsoft Excel Associate (Microsoft 365 Apps) exam through the Microsoft Certification Program. I understand that I must create a Microsoft account to take this exam at Pearson VUE.
Therefore, I recently created a Microsoft account at this link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/. When creating the account, I was only given the option to input my email address. There was no option to input a phone number.
However, every time I call Pearson VUE to schedule the MO-210 exam, the agents cannot locate my Microsoft account with my email address. Furthermore, the agents keep asking for a Microsoft ID, but I don't see one in my Microsoft profile.
What is going on?! I clearly see my name and email address in my Microsoft account. Not only that, I'm asking for help about this issue (here in the Q&A) with the same Microsoft account that the Pearson VUE agents cannot locate.
Is there a way to resolve this? I'm writing to escalate this issue to the appropriate department.
