Dear Microsoft Team,

I bought the Minecraft: Java and Bedrock Edition Bundle and then started playing Bedrock. It has been 3 or so weeks since the initial purchase and then I wanted to play Java edition with my friends. I tried playing Java but it said that I have to purchase it even though I bought the bundle. I don't know if this is normal, but I would appreciate to hear feedback on how to fix this issue.

Thankyou.

BTW, what does the parent/child hierarchy dropdowns mean? And here's a pic of my issue.User's image

    Hi basepathgamer,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

When you purchase the Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition bundle for PC, you should have access to both editions. Seeing a “Buy Now” button for Java Edition usually means the launcher isn’t correctly matching your game license with the account that’s currently signed in.

Here are some posisble checking steps that you can consider in this case:

1, Confirm the account used for purchase

    • Sign in to the Microsoft Store.
    • Make sure you’re logged in with the same Microsoft account that purchased Minecraft.
    • Check that Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition for PC shows as Owned.

2, Sign out and back in to the Minecraft Launcher

    • Open the Minecraft Launcher.
    • Select your profile picture > Sign out.
    • Close the launcher completely.
    • Reopen it and sign back in with the same Microsoft account confirmed above.

3, Make sure the Microsoft Store and Launcher use the same account

    • Open the Microsoft Store app.
    • Sign out, then sign back in with the same account used in the launcher.
    • Restart your PC and open the launcher again.

4, Reinstall the Minecraft Launcher (if needed)

    • Uninstall the Minecraft Launcher.
    • Restart your PC.
    • Download and install the latest launcher from the Microsoft Store.
    • Sign in and check Java Edition again. Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment" or "Add Answer" if you cannot add comment so your response will be visible. Thanks for your effort.
