    Hi Shekhar Raj

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand how concerning this is, being able to send but not receive new emails can interrupt important messages.

Have you already tried the steps mentioned in the Q&A Assist reply under your post? If yes, did you face any difficulties with those steps?

Could you please also confirm does this happen with all incoming emails, or just specific ones?

In the meantime, please try the following steps:

    1. Double-check Outlook on the web

    • Sign in to Outlook on the web in your browser
    • Try to send a test email to yourself from another email account (or ask someone to send one) then check if the emails appear there.
    • Check all folders (Inbox, Junk Email, Deleted Items, Archive), ensure your inbox filter is set to All (not "Unread", "Flagged", etc.)
    • Check Focused / Other tab (if Focused Inbox is enabled), emails may land in Other. You can also temporarily turn Focused Inbox off to test.

    2. Check for any hidden rules/forwarding

Still in Outlook on the web's settings, go to:

    • Settings > Mail > Rules/ Sweep: delete any suspicious rules you did not create (especially rules that moves/deletes mail)
    • Settings > Mail > Forwarding: make sure nothing is forwarding

    3. Check mailbox storage

If your storage is full, Outlook won’t send or receive. Check storage (Settings > Account > Storage) and free up space if needed. You can see Mailbox storage limits in Outlook - Microsoft Support

    4. Check your internet connection

    • Make sure your device has a stable internet connection and try switching networks (e.g., from Wi-Fi to mobile hotspot) then test again.
    • Check from a different browser/device or from an InPrivate/Incognito window. If needed, you can then clear the browser cache/cookies for Outlook.com.

For more details, you can see Email is missing from your Outlook.com inbox - Microsoft Support

If the steps above don't work, please feel free to let me know how it goes so I’ll help you further. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

If your Hotmail account is not receiving any new emails but can send emails, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take:

    1. Check Spam/Junk Folder: Sometimes, emails may be directed to the spam or junk folder. Make sure to check these folders to see if any legitimate emails have been misclassified.
    2. Review Forwarding Rules: If you have set up any forwarding rules, ensure that they are configured correctly. Sometimes, a rule may inadvertently block incoming emails.
    3. Storage Space: Ensure that your mailbox is not full. If your storage is over the limit, you may not receive new emails. You can check your storage usage in the account settings.
    4. Blocked Senders: Check your blocked senders list to ensure that the email addresses you expect to receive emails from are not blocked.
    5. Account Settings: Sometimes, account settings may change due to updates or other reasons. You can try logging into your account settings and reviewing the email settings.
    6. Contact Support: If none of the above steps work, consider contacting Microsoft support for further assistance, as they may be able to access your account settings and identify any underlying issues.

These steps should help you troubleshoot the issue with your Hotmail account not receiving emails.
