Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.
Did you receive any email from a hacker saying that your account has been compromised, that they have all your details, and that they are requesting money in exchange for not misusing your information? Did you receive this on a separate email account, or do you see it in your Drafts folder?
Have you noticed any unusual activity in your account, such as emails being sent to your friends or neighbors from your own email address requesting money from them? Before doing anything, please be careful and confirm whether your account has truly been hacked or if it is just a threatening message.
Recently, there have been many scam and spoof emails sent by attackers claiming they have your password or photos and threatening to misuse them. Sometimes these messages may appear in your Drafts folder and seem like they cannot be deleted.
If you are experiencing something similar, please share more details with us here so we can offer the right troubleshooting steps to help secure your account.
Meantime, follow the steps here to protect your account.
1. Reset your Microsoft account password.
Open an InPrivate/Incognito browser window and use the following link to reset your password: https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx
2. Sign out of your account from all sessions.
Once the password reset is successful, sign in with your account here: https://account.live.com/proofs/Manage
Scroll down until you find Sign out everywhere. Select Sign out everywhere.
3. Enable two-step verification.
On the Security settings page, under Additional security, turn on Two-step verification. Make sure you have at least three security verification methods active.
