Is it safe to change ProductName and DisplayVersion in Regedit?

Question

So well i wanted to "costumize" my own windows but i just wanted to go so deep that i wanted to change the product name and etc. then i became not sure about that. so can anyone tell me if its safe? (and what parameters are safe to change if there are any)

ProductName and DisplayVersion are safe to change in Registry. However, please make sure you back up Registry and make a restore point in case there's something wrong.

Please provide full details on the keys and values you want to change in the registry, and please provide a screenshot of the full registry editor window so I can see the full location of the changes you want to make in the registry.
