Parental Consent

I am trying to login to my personal email: ******@outlook.com

Every time I try to log in, it sends me to a "You need parental consent page."

I was initially in family, so I used the guardian to log in and it responded with:

"You already have consent" (paraphrased).

However, if I logged in, it would again send me to the parental consent page.
I removed myself from the family, and the issue is persisting.
Online it says to change the date of birth, but I can't since I can't login.

    Hi!

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Can I confirm when did you remove your account from the family?

Can you also check and use this link: https://account.microsoft.com/family

    • Is your account still listed?
    • Does it show as a child account?\

If it still shows as a child, consent must be granted again there.

It seems that you are encountering issues with parental consent on your Microsoft account. Since you mentioned that you have already removed yourself from the family group and are still facing the same problem, here are some steps you can try:

    1. Wait for a while: Sometimes, changes in account settings can take time to propagate. Try waiting a few hours before attempting to log in again.
    2. Check your account settings: If you have access to a different Microsoft account, you can try to log in there and check if you can manage your family settings from that account.
    3. Contact Microsoft Support: If the issue persists, you may need to reach out to Microsoft Support for assistance. They can help you verify your identity and resolve the parental consent issue. You can do this by visiting the Microsoft support page and following the prompts to contact them.

Unfortunately, changing your date of birth directly is not possible without logging into your account, and this restriction is in place to prevent children from bypassing family controls.

If you continue to have trouble, it’s best to follow up with Microsoft Support directly for further assistance.
