I want to first state that I have a mesh system where the modem is connected to a network switch box and 1 Deco system and 2 other Deco systems connect. I also want to say I am the only problem; no other Windows 11 device or Windows or Mac or phone is having this issue. I first discovered a problem when I found I had "No Internet Secured." This problem eventually went away, hopefully never to return, and now I have this problem. I can see this issue happening when I try to use Steam, and it doesn't work, but when I use YouTube, it does. I have tried buying a new network adapter, doing all the goddamn commands, and everything under the sun. I need this issue fixed. I am willing to go any steps necessary. I also want to say that I'm running the deco's in AP mode. I am almost 99.9% sure this is an issue with my DHCP but am just too stupid to figure it out. Please help. I have tried other advice from other Windows Q&A's, but no luck there.

    Hi,

Temporarily move your computer near the main router and connect directly to the router's WiFi network, then see if that works. If you're using a VPN, try temporarily disabling it.

It sounds like you're experiencing a complex networking issue with your Windows 11 device, particularly with IPv4 connectivity. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

    1. Check Network Adapter Settings: Ensure that your network adapter is configured to obtain an IP address automatically. You can do this by going to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Change adapter options, right-clicking your network adapter, selecting Properties, and then checking the properties for Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
    2. Release and Renew IP Address: Open Command Prompt as an administrator and run the following commands:
      • ipconfig /release
      • ipconfig /renew This will force your device to request a new IP address from the DHCP server.
    3. Check DHCP Settings: Since you suspect a DHCP issue, ensure that your DHCP server (usually your router) is enabled and configured correctly. You may need to access your router's settings to verify this.
    4. Ping Test: You can perform a ping test to check connectivity. Open Command Prompt and type ping 8.8.8.8 to see if you can reach Google's DNS server. If this fails, there may be a deeper network issue.
    5. Network Reset: If the above steps do not work, consider performing a network reset. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status and scroll down to find Network reset. This will remove and reinstall all your network adapters and set other networking components back to their original settings.
    6. Check for Third-party Software Conflicts: Sometimes, third-party antivirus or firewall software can interfere with network connectivity. Temporarily disable these to see if it resolves the issue.
    7. Update Network Drivers: Ensure that your network adapter drivers are up to date. You can do this through Device Manager by right-clicking on your network adapter and selecting Update driver.
    8. Safe Mode with Networking: Boot your computer in Safe Mode with Networking to see if the issue persists. If it works in Safe Mode, it may indicate a software conflict.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may want to consider checking your router's firmware or consulting with your ISP for further assistance.
