Hello W C H Bagya Perera,
There is no supported or possible way to decrypt or reverse the “User session ID” from Copilot Studio exports to identify the actual user. This is bydesign, even when Microsoft Entra ID authentication is enabled.
The values you are seeing (starting with a:1_) are anonymous Copilot Studio session identifiers. They cannot be decoded, decrypted, or mapped to an Entra ID user — even by Microsoft. This is intentional platform behavior.
How to identify the user from Copilot Studio exported session logs (decrypt session/user info)?

Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding the session export feature in Microsoft Copilot Studio. When I download the conversation/session logs from agent, I can see a field called user session ID. However, this value appears to be hashed or anonymized.
I would like to know whether there is any supported way to interpret or decrypt these session IDs in order to identify the actual user behind each session. For context, my agent uses Microsoft authentication (Entra ID), so all users must sign in before using the bot.
