In settings it won't allow me to turn up the microphone volume so I can't make calls out.

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

    Please clarify the following:

Is the microphone internal or external?

If it is external, does the microphone have a standard audio connector (Jack connector) or a USB connector, or is it connected via Bluetooth?

Also, share a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    I await your reply.

If you're unable to adjust the microphone volume in your settings, it could be due to several reasons. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:

    1. Check Microphone Permissions: Ensure that your microphone access is enabled in the Privacy & Security settings. Go to Start > Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone and make sure that microphone access is turned on for your apps.
    2. Device Manager Check: Use the DeviceManager.getMicrophone API to check if your microphone is recognized by the system. If no microphone is detected, you may need to plug in an external microphone or check your device connections.
    3. System Volume Settings: Verify that the microphone is not muted at the system level. You can check this in the sound settings or volume mixer on your device.
    4. Hardware Issues: If the microphone is still not working, consider unplugging and replugging it, or trying a different microphone to rule out hardware issues.
    5. Network Issues: Sometimes, network problems can affect audio functionality. Ensure your internet connection is stable.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to create a support ticket for further assistance.
