    Hi Noora,

It looks like school‑managed Windows devices don’t allow students to change their passwords directly on the computer, since the school controls those settings at the organization level. Because of that, Windows will block any password change you try to make on the device itself. Microsoft also explains that work or school passwords need to be updated through the school’s online Microsoft account page, usually at myaccount.microsoft.com under Security Info -> Password. That’s the method schools require instead of using Windows settings. And if the school has disabled password changes completely or your device is still following school policies, only your school’s IT admin can update those settings or reset your password.

To change the password on your school computer, you typically need to follow the procedures set by your school's IT department. If your school uses Microsoft Entra ID for work and school accounts, you may be able to reset your password using the self-service password reset feature. Here are the general steps you can follow:

    1. Contact IT Support: If you are unable to change your password, the first step is to reach out to your school's IT support for assistance.
    2. Self-Service Password Reset: If your school has enabled this feature, you can register for self-service password reset and follow the instructions to reset your password. Make sure you have access to the authentication methods required for the reset.
    3. Follow School Policies: Ensure you adhere to your school's password policies, which may include specific requirements for password length and complexity.

If you need more specific instructions, please consult your school's IT resources or documentation.
