On 5th December 2025, I updated Intel Management Engine Firmware v 16.1.40.2765 on top of 16.1.35.2557
Also, I updated the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver v2552.8.10.0 WHQL
I have taken a high risk of updating the latest firmware because Intel identified the vulnerabilities in the management engine.
I am not recommending users update without consulting the desktop manufacturer or motherboard manufacturer support team. Ask your system manufacturers for the released new ME firmware. Different types of firmware are available and depend upon the intel processor generation and the respective SKUs only.
This Intel Management Engine firmware flashed to the Intel processors and will be lifelong. Future firmware updates will only be installed if existing firmware is not corrupted or modified.
