Hello,

It's been approximately a week that I struggle to hear meetings through my bluetooth headphones. This is while I can hear YouTube music, all settings at the laptop level are correctly inputted, and all settings in Teams seem correctly inputted as well. My headphones mic seems to work when I'm in a meeting though. I've updated Teams but this hasn't changed anything.

Please help

    Hi @PN

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum

Thank you so much for reaching out, and I’m really sorry that you’ve been dealing with this Bluetooth audio issue for the past week. I know how important clear audio is, especially when everything else works as expected.

Based on similar cases reported recently, there are a few reliable steps that have helped many customers resolve this exact situation:

1/ Reset Microsoft Teams (quick and effective)

A number of users found that resetting Teams immediately restored Bluetooth meeting audio.

    • Open Settings > Apps > Installed Apps
    • Choose Microsoft Teams > Advanced Options > Reset  User's image

This resolved the same behavior for several users with Bluetooth headsets.

    2/ Adjust Windows Audio Enhancements

Windows sometimes applies audio effects that interfere with how Teams routes sound. Changing this setting has helped many customers.

    • Go to Settings > System > Sound > Properties
    • Scroll down and find Advanced settings
    • Set Audio Enhancements to Off or Device Default Effects

Customers confirmed that Teams audio came back after making this change

    3/ Reconnect your Bluetooth headset

Even if the headset appears connected, Teams may still cling to an incorrect audio profile. Refreshing the connection helps Teams re‑detect the right one.

    • Turn Bluetooth off on your laptop
    • Wait 10 seconds
    • Turn Bluetooth on and reconnect your headset

This approach resolves many Bluetooth‑specific Teams issues.

4/ Double‑check your Teams device settings

Sometimes Teams simply routes audio elsewhere.

    • Open Teams > Settings > Devices
    • Under Speaker, select your Bluetooth headset
    • Under Microphone, select the same headset

Selecting the correct audio device is one of the most common fixes.

5/ Disable “Bluetooth LE Enumerator” (high success rate)

This step has helped many customers when the mic works but meeting audio does not.

    • Open Device Manager
    • Expand Bluetooth
    • Right‑click Microsoft Bluetooth LE Enumerator > Disable
    • Re‑pair your headset and restart Teams

This fix has been especially effective for situations matching your symptoms.
