    Hi @oladele popoola,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

It sounds like a frustrating situation, especially when your camera cuts out right in the middle of a meeting. Since you are using Windows 11 on an HP laptop, there are a few specific areas you can check to get this resolved.

    • Check the Privacy Switch: Many HP laptops feature a physical camera shutter or a dedicated "Kill Switch" (often located on the side of the chassis or as a function key like F10). Ensure this hasn't been accidentally toggled off.
    • Verify Windows 11 Privacy Settings:
      • Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
      • Ensure Camera access is toggled On.
      • Confirm that Let apps access your camera is enabled and that your specific meeting application has permission.
    • Reset the Camera App:
      • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
      • Find Camera, click the three dots (...), and select Advanced options.
      • Scroll down and click Reset.
    • Reinstall the Camera Driver:
      • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
      • Expand the Cameras or Imaging devices section.
      • Right-click your camera (e.g., "HP TrueVision") and select Uninstall device.
      • Restart your laptop. Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver automatically upon reboot.

I hope these steps help restore your video feed. If the problem persists, please provide a few more details so I can look closer:

1/ Does the camera work in the built-in Windows Camera app, or is it failing across all applications?

2/ Are you seeing a specific error code, such as 0xA00F4244 (NoCamerasAreAttached)?

3/ Have there been any recent Windows Updates or BIOS updates installed just before this started happening?

    Looking forward to your update!

Thank you all for the suggestions. I had it fixed by HP support.

    1

    Open Settings app.

Go to System - Troubleshoot - Other Troubleshooters.

Run the Camera Troubleshooter from there to see if that can find and fix the problem.

    2

If not, go to the support page for your laptop on the HP website, then from there, download and re-install (not update) the version of webcam drivers and graphics drivers they provide.

If you have any difficulty locating that support page, click your Start Button, then just type msinfo and press Enter, please provide a screenshot of the resulting System Information window.
