email account has been hacked

My email account has been hacked. I have changed my password, corrected the language and time, etc.

The issue is I have a few email folders that are in a different language that I cannot rename or delete.

I have tried all the suggestions from the online answers and nothing is working.

Please help asap.

    Apologies for the inconvenience caused by the account compromise. To prevent further unauthorized changes, please secure the account first.

    Sign out of all devices (Sign out everywhere) using the Microsoft account security page to sign the account out of all browsers, apps, and devices. This may take up to 24 hours to fully apply.

    Next, check and disable any altered settings:

    • Rules / Forwarding: Outlook.com Setting > Mail > Rules. Remove any unknown rules.
    • Forwarding: Ensure email forwarding to unknown addresses is turned off.

    To fix folders displaying in the wrong language: default folders such as Inbox, Sent, Deleted Items, and Junk Email cannot be renamed or deleted directly. Reset them via:

    • Outlook.com Settings > General > Language and time > select your preferred language > check Rename default folders so their names match the specified language > Save.
    • If the folders do not update, switch to a different language, Save, then switch back and Save again.
