Web/New Outlook Calendar does not Display Events, Events only visible in Outlook Classic

When an event is created in the calendar from New/Web Outlook, it disappears from the New/Web end of Outlook, but the event is created and only shows up in the Classic view.

Steps I have tried to resolve this:

  • Forcing the sync for Outlook
  • Rebuild the .ost
  • Recreating the user's profile

It seems that you are experiencing synchronization issues between the New Outlook and the Classic Outlook, where events created in the New Outlook calendar do not display correctly. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

    1. Resynchronize the Folder: If the issue is with a specific calendar folder, try resynchronizing it. You can do this by right-clicking the calendar folder, selecting Properties, then clicking Clear Offline Items, and finally selecting OK. After that, go to the Send/Receive tab and click Update Folder.
    2. Rebuild the OST File: Since you have already tried rebuilding the .ost file, ensure that you are following the correct steps. If you haven't done so, delete the existing .ost file and allow Outlook to create a new one. This process can help resolve various synchronization issues.
    3. Check for Compatibility: Ensure that the New Outlook is compatible with your current Windows version and that you are using a supported account type. Unsupported versions or account types can lead to issues with event visibility.
    4. Contact Support: If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. They may require logs from your system to diagnose the issue accurately.

These steps should help you address the synchronization problem between the New Outlook and Classic Outlook regarding calendar events.
