I got a new iPhone, and my old phone had the Authenticator app. On my new phone, I can’t do anything with Authenticator, I thought it’d transfer over. I can’t sign into any of my accounts because it’s making me authenticate which I can’t do. There’s no backup/recovery option either

When you get a new iPhone and need to set up the Microsoft Authenticator app, it's important to follow the correct steps to ensure you can access your accounts. If you can't use your old phone to authenticate, you may need to register and set up multifactor authentication (MFA) on your new device before accessing your accounts. Here are some steps you can take:

    1. Use Your Old Device: If you still have access to your old phone, do not remove the Authenticator app or factory reset it until you have successfully set up your new device. You may need to use the old device for two-step verification during the setup process.
    2. SMS or Call-Based MFA: If you have SMS or call-based MFA set up, you can use that method to complete the authentication process on your new device. Ensure that the phone number associated with your account is active and can receive messages or calls.
    3. Contact Support: If you are unable to access your accounts, especially if you are the only administrator in your organization, you may need to contact Microsoft support for assistance. They can help verify your identity and regain access to your accounts.
    4. Trial Tenant: If you cannot access support through your existing account, consider setting up a new trial tenant to submit a support request. This will allow you to contact Microsoft support while you resolve the issues with your original account.

Make sure to follow the necessary steps to ensure a smooth transition to your new device and regain access to your accounts.
