Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Are you able to see your MS365 Family subscription under the Services & subscriptions page here: https://account.microsoft.com/services (make sure you’re signed in with the same Microsoft account you used to buy Office)?

If you can see it there and it is active, please follow these steps below.

If you haven't already, I’d suggest is to uninstall any existing Office apps on your Mac to avoid conflict:

    Then, to reinstall Microsoft Office:

    • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services again
    • Sign in using the same Microsoft account linked to your license.
    • Find your Microsoft 365 Family subscription and click the "Install".
    • That will download the installer for the Office apps, just run it and follow the steps.

If anything’s unclear or the "Install" option still doesn’t show, feel free to let me know. I’ll be happy to walk you through it!

I really hope this information is helpful! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Regards,

    John J.D.

If you're unable to open Word or Excel after subscribing to Microsoft 365 on your Mac, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

    1. Quit all Office applications: Make sure that all Office applications are closed before proceeding.
    2. Remove Office applications: Go to Finder > Applications, select all Microsoft 365 applications, and move them to Trash.
    3. Delete related folders: Navigate to ~/Library/Containers/ and delete folders starting with com.microsoft.Word, com.microsoft.Excel, etc. Also, check the Group Containers folder in the Library for any Office-related folders and move them to Trash.
    4. Reinstall Office: After removing the applications and folders, sign in to your Microsoft account at Microsoft Account Services to reinstall the Office apps.

If the issue persists, you may want to perform an Online Repair of your Office installation. This can often resolve deeper issues that the standard repair does not fix.
