    If you have a Surface device, you can manually add it directly to your MS profile by serial number. With "other people's" devices, everything is somewhat more complicated. The PC is added automatically either when reinstalling the OS, or when renaming the PC in the OS settings and enabled synchronization settings. But at the same time, the PC appears in the account after a few days (it took me 4 days to rename the PC).
