I have a family subscription but when I try to sign in on my tablet I get this error message:

Correlation Id: [Moderator Note: Personal Info Removed]

Timestamp: [Moderator Note: Personal Info Removed]

DPTI: [Moderator Note: Personal Info Removed]

Message: An unexpected error occurred.

Tag: 4mmex

Code: [Moderator Note: Personal Info Removed]

I have uninstalled and tried again, same message. I have tried the useless sign in help tool which just says that there is nothing wrong with my account. Now I'm left paying for a subscription that I can't use. Any help from a real person appreciated!

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum

I understand that you have a family subscription, but when you try to sign in on your tablet, you get error message: "An unexpected error occurred. Tag: 4mmex"

Here are some additional troubleshooting steps for you to try:

Try signing in via browser first to forces a sign in token creation

    • Open a browser on your tablet
    • Go to:[ https://www.office.com]
    • Sign in successfully there, but do not log out
    • Immediately open the Microsoft 365 / Office app and try sign in again

If the method above doesn't work, you can try removing all Microsoft accounts from your tablet:

    • Android Settings > Passwords & accounts
    • Remove Microsoft account and Outlook account
    • Reboot the tablet
    • Install Microsoft 365 (Office) fresh
    • Sign in again

Reply back to this post if you need further assistance, I'll be happy to help.
