Status of MS Office 2024 Licenses

We recently purchased a group of licenses for MS 2024 that were sent to use via a single key. We have downloaded/activated some of the licenses but not all of them. What we are trying to confirm is how many licenses have been used already (and if possible, what IP address/computer name they have been assigned to) and how many are left to still use on other devices. Thanks in advance for your help.

Under the Assigned Licenses and Available licenses columns, it says "Doesn't apply" but we have definitely activated some of them and have some left. Please clairfy.

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

When you receive one MAK for a pool of licenses, the key carries a fixed activation allowance. Each activation consumes one from that allowance, and you can check how many are used/remaining in a few following supported ways:

Check in the Microsoft 365 admin center (Volume Licensing tab)

Microsoft 365 admin center > Billing > Your products > Volume licensing > View downloads and keys. The Keys pane lists each key with its Activations count.

Use Microsoft’s free Volume Activation Management Tool.

Thank you for this information. From what I can tell, a Volume Licensing User needs to be set up on our account, so we need help with that. There is no "Role Assignment", "Manage VL Role Assignments" nor "Manage Assignments" sections visible.

I am only the Global Administrator so under the "Assigned Licenses" and "Available Licenses" headers, they both say "does not apply." And when I click on the product name that was purchased (Office LTSC Standard 2024), the following page and the Key page only show that 25 licenses total were purchased. There is no indication as to how many of those licenses have been activated nor are left to be activated. This is the level of detail we are looking for. Thank you.

In this case, my recommendation is to create a support ticket via Microsoft Admin Center by following this article: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn so that the billing support agent can review properly regarding your concern.
