Please review this issue and let us know when the 'prompt=create' functionality will be restored.
We are using MS Entra External ID (CIAM). Previously, using 'prompt=create' was working. As noted by others, this feature no longer sends people to the account creation signup flow page. Instead, it sends people to the login page. This has impacted our new customer flow. Guest/Graph API invites are not ideal or a solid workaround.

Shocked. Shocked I tell you that something in this dumpster fire of an IDP doesn't work.
Entra External ID is where they send the junior offshore developers apparently.
Docs are completely inaccurate across the board, custom domains, signup flows, you name it, almost nothing in Entra External ID works as advertised. I'm suprised they are willing to sell it.
The real solution is either build your own workflow, or like us, find a different provider. IDP is a pretty commoditized product at this point (which makes it all that much funnier that MSFT can't get this right).
This product is an embarassment for Microsoft and the Entra team. They should all hang their heads in shame.

I've just noticed that the prompt=create is working again.
I hope it won't break again .
Hopes & prayers won't keep your app up next time it breaks. I'm not anti-MSFT but this product is a dumpster fire. No self respecting identity solution would allow basic functionality like signup forms to break for SIX MONTHS.
Seems to be working for me too! Looks like Microsoft may have fixed the issue for now. I agree, it is not ideal this broke. Azure B2C seemed like it had its stuff together compared to external Entra ID.
