Sometime around June of 2025, OneNote started creating browser links when you do "Copy link to page" instead of internal ("onenote://") links. I asked about this here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5444388/why-is-onenote-suddenly-creating-urls-instead-of-l?forum=msoffice-all&referrer=answers&page=3 (it got converted to MS Learn and so is locked now).

I rolled back onenote to before the change and stopped updates.

My question is, "is this fixed now?"

    Hello !

Which version of OneNote are you using ?
I've tried this on the web version of OneNote, and it seems like OneNote internal links : User's image

On the desktop version of OneNote, same thing :

    User's image

Both of them are onenote:// links. You can update OneNote if you want.

Please let me know if you have any other question !
