Hello Gloria Lawton
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand how frustrating and concerning it is to receive unsolicited, inappropriate content in your inbox.
Please try these steps:
- Report as Phishing or Junk
Select the message in your inbox.
- On the top toolbar, select Report > Report Phishing.
Note: Reporting as "Phishing" is more effective than "Junk" for inappropriate or predatory emails, as it alerts our security team to malicious intent.
- Create "Rules" for Specific Keywords
If the emails use specific recurring words or phrases, you can create a Rule to delete them before they ever reach your Inbox:
- Go to Settings (gear icon) > Mail > Rules
- Select Add new rule.
- Name your rule (e.g., "Inappropriate Filter")
- Add a condition: Keywords > Subject or body includes (type the specific words you want to block).
- Add an action: Delete
- Check Your "Safe Senders" List
- Go to Settings > Mail > Junk email.
- Review your Safe senders and domains. If you see any unfamiliar addresses there, remove them.
- Under Filters, ensure the box for "Block attachments, pictures, and links from anyone not in my Safe senders and domains list" is checked.
- Account Security Check
Since you are receiving a high volume of these emails, I recommend ensuring your account is fully protected:
- Update your password: Ensure it is a strong, unique password.
- Enable Two-Step Verification: Go to your Microsoft Security Dashboard to turn this on. This ensures that even if someone has your password, they cannot access your account.

Please feel free to let me know how it goes. I truly appreciate your time and understanding.
