Resetting password with 25 digit recovery pin after forgetting password and 2fa authentication not working

For one of my microsoft accounts, after forgetting my password and having difficulty using 2fa recovery to reset my password, I opted to use the 25 digit recovery pin to recover my account.

The account is now placed on a 30 day lock. At the end of the 30 days, will I be prompted to set a new password? How will I access my account after the 30 days?

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Once the 30-day restriction period ends, you will be able to update your verification methods first, and then you may reset your account password.
