Your computer’s location showing Las Vegas, NV instead of Queen Creek, AZ is almost always caused by IP-based geolocation — not your actual device GPS.
On most Windows PCs (without GPS), location is determined by:
• Your public IP address
• Your ISP’s registered location
• Nearby Wi-Fi network data
If your ISP routes traffic through Las Vegas, websites and apps will think you're there.
What you can do:
Restart your modem/router
This may assign a new IP address.
Check your public IP location
Search “What is my IP” in a browser and see what city it shows.
If it still shows Las Vegas
Contact your ISP and ask them to update the geolocation of your IP block.
Make sure no VPN is active
A VPN can also cause incorrect location detection.
Important:
Windows Location Settings will NOT override IP geolocation for most websites and services.
This is not a device problem — it’s almost always an ISP IP registration issue.
If you'd like, tell me:
• Are you on home internet or business internet?
• Does Google Maps also show Las Vegas?
That will confirm it 100%.
