Hi KING BOSS
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Forum!
I know how frustrating this is, especially when you’re trying a webcam for the first time and it immediately causes multiple things to break. You did the right thing by troubleshooting already, and what you’re seeing is a known Windows 11 behavior with this specific webcam, not a mistake on your part.
Please go ahead and disable only the webcam’s audio component (not the camera)
This keeps video working while preventing audio crashes.
- Plug in the C920
- Press Win + X and open Device Manager
- Expand Sound, video and game controllers
- Find HD Pro Webcam C920
- Right‑click it and choose Disable device This disables the webcam microphone only
- Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter
- Find Windows Audio
- Right‑click Windows Audio and choose Restart
Hope this helps. Feel free to update here if anything come up.
