The classic outlook asking password again and again after setting the Godday IMAP password. Also, new outlook (office 365) synced successfully, but unable to send mails from GoDaddy server.

I am using the server setting as; (Really I am totally disappointed with the continuos crashes.

GoDaddy Professional Email (IMAP) Settings

If automatic setup fails, use these manual settings: Account Type: IMAP Incoming Mail Server: imap.secureserver.net Port: 993 Encryption Method: SSL/TLS Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtpout.secureserver.net Port: 465 or 587 Encryption Method: SSL/TLS Username: Your full email address Password: Your email password

Please support.

    Hi!

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

The New Outlook (Windows) does notfully support third-party SMTP providers like GoDaddy for sending. Receiving works because but sending fails.

This is the only reliable Outlook solution with GoDaddy.

    1. Log in to GoDaddy
    2. Go to Email → Account Settings → Security
    3. Generate an App Password
    4. In Classic Outlook:
      1. Remove the account completely
      2. Add it again manually
      3. Use the App Password, not your normal password
    5. Disable modern auth fallback:
      1. Outlook → File → Account Settings → Change
      2. Ensure IMAP/SMTP only, no OAuth prompts

If set correctly this should stop the password loop.

Note: There is nothing wrong with your setups this is a limitation between New Outlook and GoDaddy SMTP and there is no know user side permanent fix.
