How to change calendar reminder interval in Bookings appointments

Is there a way to change the default calendar reminder setting for a bookings appointment? I am not referring to the email reminders, I am referring to the reminders that pop up on your desktop from the calendar event. See below for what I am referring to. Thank you!

    Hi @Rebecca M. Acred,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand that you would like to change the default calendar reminder settings for appointments created by Microsoft Bookings when they appear on the Outlook calendar.

At this time, Microsoft Bookings only supports customization of email reminder timing and does not support customizing calendar reminders.

Appointments created via Bookings are automatically added to the calendar; however, they are not affected by the default reminder settings in Outlook or Teams.

    For example:

    • For regular events created directly in Outlook, you can customize the reminder, such as changing it from 15 minutes to 5 minutes before the start time.
    • However, for appointments created through Bookings, when they are added to the calendar, the reminder remains at the default of 15 minutes.

In this case, I recommend that you share your experience and requirements with the Microsoft Bookings product team via the Feedback page.

    You may consider suggesting:

    • Allowing customization of calendar reminders for Bookings, or
    • Allowing Bookings to inherit the default reminder settings from Outlook to better align with users’ needs.
