Dear Microsoft Azure Support Team,

I am currently facing an issue with my Azure subscription and academic verification process.

When I applied for academic verification using my verified college email ID, the verification process took a long time to complete. After it was finally completed, I clicked on “Verify Academic Status” to confirm it. However, the system is now showing the message: “Unable to find your email ID.”

This is confusing because I used my official and verified college email address for the academic verification process. I am not sure why the system is unable to recognize my email ID after successful verification.

Due to this issue, I am unable to access my Azure student subscription benefits.

Kindly check my account and help resolve this issue at the earliest.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely, Srabani Maity

The behavior indicates an issue with how the academic email is associated or validated for Azure for Students, not something that can be fixed from the portal alone. The supported next steps are:

    1. Confirm eligibility and requirements
      • Azure for Students requires:
        • Enrollment at an accredited, degree‑granting institution.
        • Verification of academic status through the organization’s email address.
      • If the institution or domain is not recognized as academic/eligible, the automated verification can fail even if the email itself is valid.
    2. Re‑attempt verification with the same Microsoft account
      • Sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used when the college email was first added and verified.
      • Ensure that the college email is added as a sign‑in alias on that Microsoft account (via Manage how you sign in to Microsoft) and is marked as verified.
      • Then retry the academic verification / Azure for Students signup using that same account and email.
    3. If the domain or school is not recognized
      • Some education programs (for example, Microsoft Learn for Educators) explicitly state that if the school domain is blocked or unverified, additional manual review is required.
      • In such cases, the guidance is to open a support ticket from the relevant education/learning portal so the support team can validate the institution and domain using documentation (domain ownership and accreditation evidence).
    4. If the Azure for Students subscription is still not granted
      • If the automated academic verification continues to fail or the email cannot be found, support intervention is required. Use the Azure/education support channel associated with the offer or portal where the verification was initiated so the team can:
        • Check whether the institution/domain is in the academic eligibility list.
        • Confirm whether the email is correctly bound to the Microsoft account used for Azure.
        • Manually review eligibility if applicable.
    5. If academic eligibility is ultimately denied
      • If the institution does not qualify as an academic institution for Microsoft education offers, Azure for Students cannot be activated. In that case, Azure can still be used via a standard pay‑as‑you‑go subscription.

Because account‑level checks and institution eligibility cannot be performed here, resolution requires contacting Microsoft support through the appropriate education or Azure support channel and providing any requested documentation about the institution and domain.
