Hi! Let me help you with this issue.

Please hover your mouse over the sound icon in the lower-right corner, then right-click it and select Troubleshoot Sound. Let the troubleshooter finish its task, then this should either resolve the problem or display an error message.

If that doesn't work, we need to remove the Audio driver from the Device Manager and restart the PC to reinstall it.

Here are the steps to completely remove a Device from your computer.

Step 1. Use the Windows key + X shortcut.

    Step 2. Select Device Manager.

Step 3. Expand the entry Sound, Video, and Game Controllers. Right-click the problematic device, which is either Realtek Audio, or AMD High-definition Audio, or High-Definition Audio, depending on the audio device installed in your PC, and select Uninstall device.

Step 4. You need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device and then click the Uninstall button.

    Step 5. Reboot the computer.

After the reboot, please see if the problem is fixed.

If that still does not work, please visit the support website of your laptop or desktop and then download and install the latest Audio driver, then restart the PC.

Try these steps in order on the Windows PC:

    1. Check the selected output device
      1. Select the Speakers icon on the taskbar (use Show hidden icons if it’s not visible).
      2. Select the arrow to the right of the volume slider.
      3. In Select a sound output, choose the device you actually want to use (speakers or headphones) and test audio again.
    2. Check hardware and basic volume controls
      1. Make sure speaker/headphone cables are firmly plugged in and in the correct jack (typically green for output; pink is for microphone).
      2. Ensure speakers are powered on.
      3. Turn up volume on the speakers themselves and in any app you’re using.
      4. If using USB speakers or a USB headset, try a different USB port.
      5. Unplug any headphones to see if built‑in or external speakers start working.
    3. Verify nothing is muted or disabled
      1. Right‑click the Speakers icon on the taskbar.
      2. Open Volume mixer (Windows 10) or More mixer settings (Windows 11) and make sure none of the device or app sliders show mute (x or red circle). Turn them up if needed.
      3. Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound.
      4. Under More sound settings (Windows 11) or via Device properties (Windows 10), open the Playback tab.
      5. Select the device you expect to use, choose Properties, and under Device usage ensure Use this device (enable) is selected (or that Disable is not checked in Windows 10).
    4. Run the audio troubleshooter
      • Windows 11:
        1. Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
        2. In the Audio section, select Run and follow the prompts.
      • Windows 10:
        1. Start > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
        2. Under Find and fix problems, select Playing audio > Run the troubleshooter.
    5. Check for missing or faulty audio device
      1. If Windows shows “No audio device is installed” or no playback device at all, open Device Manager and confirm an audio device exists under Sound, video and game controllers.
      2. Install or update the correct audio driver from the PC or motherboard manufacturer.
      3. If the issue started after a recent driver update, try rolling back to the previous audio driver version.

If none of these steps restore sound and the correct device and drivers are present, the issue may be hardware‑related and require the PC or audio device manufacturer’s support.
