I can't access files that have been scanned on my USB device. I keep getting the message to reinstall the program that I listed. How do I reinstall this program?

api-ms-win-core-winrt-l1-1-0.dll

Hi there! My name is David. It’s a pleasure to help you today.

Could you please let me know if this message appears when opening any software?

Are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11?

What you mentioned, "api-ms-win-core-winrt-l1-1-0.dll", is not a program itself, but a system component.

I can suggest verify the system files following steps:

Go to Start, type CMD > right-click on Command Prompt > click Run as administrator > click Yes.

Inside CMD, copy and paste the following command:

    sfc /scannow

Then press Enter and wait for the process to finish. This will verify the system files and attempt to repair them.

Also, you can check for system updates > go to Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.

Let me know if the shared information has been helpful. Regards.
